European working hours

Same-day replies during your business day — not answers at 3 a.m. your time.

The Problem

Japan is one of the world's richest consumer markets.
It is also the most politely gated.

Western brands don't fail in Japan for lack of quality. They fail at three gates that can't be crossed with translation software.

The language gate

Japan's press-release platforms require releases written in Japanese. Not translated — written. A release that reads foreign is a release that gets skipped.

The etiquette gate

Japanese media has its own release structure, honorifics, timing customs and taboos. Getting them wrong doesn't just fail — it marks you as an outsider.

The presence gate

No Japanese website, no Japanese materials, no one answering in Japanese — to Japanese buyers and journalists, you don't exist yet. Presence must be built, not assumed.

Pricing

Fixed prices. One simple decision.

Testing the market? Start with one release. Launching for real? Take the Pack. Everything else is an add-on — not a decision you need to make today.

For reference: a traditional Tokyo PR agency retainer runs €2,000–6,000 per month, with 6–12 month minimums — before a single release is written.

How it works

Three steps. All remote.

Brief us in English

A structured intake form and, if you like, a 30-minute call — during your working day. We extract what Japanese media and buyers will actually care about.

Approve side-by-side

Every Japanese deliverable comes with an English mirror version, so you approve meaning, not mystery characters. Revisions included.

We launch in Japan

Distribution, publishing, printing, venue delivery — executed inside Japan by our network. You receive an English report with links and proof.

Reach

Where one release actually travels in Japan.

Distribution isn't an email blast. One release moves through three channels at once — and every republication puts your brand on another Japanese media domain.

Republished across Japanese media

Partner media sites automatically republish releases from the network we distribute through. Across the 190+ releases we've run for our own brands, a release typically appears on dozens of Japanese media sites — often around 30.

Direct delivery to 300 matched outlets

We hand-pick up to 300 Japanese media outlets matched to your industry and story, and deliver your release directly to their desks — not a spray-and-pray blast.

An SEO asset, in Japanese

Every republication is your brand name, in Japanese, on an established Japanese media domain. Search engines notice. It's PR that keeps working after the news cycle ends.

Case Study

A Taiwanese brand's release in Japan:
30+ republications — and a sponsor.

One of our client engagements: a Taiwanese company announcing in Japan, with no Japanese office. We rewrote the release natively, distributed it through the network, and delivered it to matched media desks.

30+

Media republications

The release was republished by more than 30 Japanese media sites — comfortably above the 20+ floor we guarantee for every client.

A sponsor signed on

The exposure led to something no one can promise: a Japanese sponsor company came forward after seeing the release. Real commercial outcome, from one distribution.

Japanese offices needed

The client never set foot in a Japanese registry office. Briefed remotely, approved via English preview, published under their own name.

Honest note: the sponsorship was this client's outcome, not a promise — commercial results depend on your story and market. What we promise is the floor: native writing, distribution, and 20+ republications or the release fee back.

Questions

Asked honestly, answered honestly.

Do I need a Japanese office or entity?

No. Overseas companies can distribute press releases in Japan without a local entity. We handle account setup, the required Japanese-language writing, and distribution — published under your brand's name.

Why can't we just translate our English press release?

Japanese platforms require releases written in Japanese, and journalists expect a specific structure, tone and etiquette. A translated release reads as foreign — and gets skipped. Yours will be written natively, from scratch, following Japanese press conventions.

Do you guarantee media coverage?

Two different things, honestly separated. Editorial coverage — a journalist choosing to write about you — can never be guaranteed by anyone honest. Network republication is different: it's automatic syndication across partner media sites, and we guarantee it — if your release isn't republished on 20+ Japanese media sites, we refund the release fee in full. Our own releases typically clear 30 — the guaranteed floor sits deliberately below what we actually deliver.

How fast is delivery?

Launch Release: typically 7–10 business days from briefing to distribution. Landing pages: about 2 weeks. Trade-show kits: contact us at least 4 weeks before your show — rush options exist at a surcharge.

We don't speak Japanese. How do we work together?

English-first, end to end: briefing, side-by-side draft previews, reports. And because we work European hours, you get same-day replies during your business day.

What exactly arrives at my trade-show booth?

Booth graphics, POP displays, banners and brochures — designed to Japanese trade-show conventions, printed in Japan, and delivered to the venue on your designated move-in day, labeled with your booth number. You fly in with a suitcase; your booth is already in the building.

How do I know you're a real company?

Fair question — verify us independently. We're Camjyo Inc. (キャンプ女子株式会社), corporate number 2290001085571, findable in the Japanese government's official registry at houjin-bangou.nta.go.jp. We run five live consumer brands you can visit today, have published 190+ press releases of our own, and you get a 100% refund any time before your release is distributed.
